Acorns Children's Hospice are now looking for a Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of day-to-day facilities management services at our Selly Oak Hospice, Birmingham

About the Role

At Acorns Children’s Hospice we offer specialist palliative care and support for children and their families across the West Midlands from our three hospices. Each hospice has specially decorated bedrooms, therapy rooms, a hydrotherapy room and dining facilities. 

As Facilities Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for teams in maintenance, housekeeping and catering and grounds
  • Perform regular scheduled building inspections, identifying and addressing issues
  • Manage the planned maintenance schedule to SFG20 HTMs via CAFM system
  • Manage and prioritise reactive maintenance tasks via the CAFM system
  • Work with the other Facilities Managers to ensure the collaborative development of the organisation
  • Be part of the on-call rota

About You

  • NVQ Level 3 in relevant building services trade
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Demonstrable experience managing facilities
  • Experience of effective line management
