Learning & Development Specialist

Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust are now looking for an L&D Specialist (People Development Practitioner) to design, create and deliver training, both face-to-face and online.

About the Role

Acorns Children's Hospice are a children's charity, offering specialist palliative care and support for local children and their families.  Every year, we support over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families, including those who are bereaved. 

As People Development Practitioner, you will:

• Design, develop, implement and evaluate all types of learning initiatives, in collaboration with subject matter experts
• Create and build training courses following the full learning cycle
• Produce session plans and notes that support the delivery of learning workshops
• Deliver engaging workshops, both face-to-face and online
• Support in the management of Acorns Learning Management System (Litmos), solving and escalating problems
• Lead the coordination of the Acorns apprenticeship learning offer, managing the levy pot and learner application process

About You

• CIPD, TAP cert, or any other relevant L&D qualification
• Experience in building content within an LMS
• Experienced facilitator of face-to-face learning
• Articulate 360 or other digital learning creation tools
• Experience in evaluating learning initiatives

• £30,000 to £35,000 per annum
• 37.5 hours per week
