Cleaner Volunteers - New Volunteer Opportunities in Acorns Children's Hospice Superstore in Blackheath - Opening in December

At Acorns Children's Hospice, we aim to make every day a special day for children who spend time with us at a hospice.  Our network of charity shops raise vital funds to ensure we can continue offering specialist care to the children and families who need it most.

As a Volunteer Cleaner, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm, clean, and inviting space for both customers and our dedicated shop team.

What does the role involve?

  • Cleaning the shop floor, back of house and external areas
  • Dusting furniture and items on display
  • Vacuuming, mopping and sweeping
  • Emptying bins
  • Reporting hazards or issues to the shop manager

How much time will it take?

Volunteer Cleaners complete a short induction and training and after this, volunteering with us is flexible. Ideally we’d like someone who is available for a minimum of 2 hours per week.

Why volunteer at Acorns?

  • To help a local charity and make a difference in your local community
  • Connect with likeminded people and make new friends
  • Enhance your CV by learning new skills and gaining experience
  • Opportunities to progress to other roles

  • Invites to social events and participation in our volunteer recognition schemes and rewards
