Acorns Children's Hospice are now seeking a Senior Area and Events Fundraising Manager to lead, motivate and inspire the Area and Events fundraising teams, ensuring that the strategic plan and income targets are achieved.

About the Role

Acorns is currently the UK’s largest children’s hospice charity, in terms of both numbers of children and families supported and annual expenditure on our care work.  We need to raise more than £11 million each year to run and support our care services and we rely heavily on the goodwill and generosity of our local community. 

As Senior Area and Events Fundraising Manager, you will:

  • Lead a team of seven direct reports, with a total Area and Events fundraising team of 13 including Fundraising Manager, Events Manager, Digital Fundraising Manager and Officers
  • Inspire and motivate the teams to achieve their income targets
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive operational plan and suite of KPIs
  • Build positive relationships with external stakeholders including supporters, volunteers and local communities
  • Work with internal teams to ensure projects, campaigns and events are scheduled and delivered to the highest standard
  • Manage income and expenditure budgets across the programme

About You

  • Experience of the range of area/community and events fundraising techniques
  • Understanding of fundraising legalities
  • Experience of organising events and campaigns
  • Experience of reporting at senior management level
  • Track record of working successfully in a targeted environment
