Recruitment Admin Volunteer

Volunteer with us!

At Acorns we provide care and support for life limited or life threatened children and their families. We are a charity, so most of the care that we provide is funded through fundraising and through our shops.

To help us to continue to provide the care that we do, we are looking for an enthusiastic Recruitment Admin Volunteer to join us in our head office. 

The Role

Our Talent Acquisition (TA) Volunteers work with the TA team, supporting in all stages of the recruitment process. They get involved in:

  • Advertising new opportunities on social media
  • Attending recruitment events
  • Helping to organise event materials.
  • Data Entry and cleansing
  • Answering emails and making phone calls

How much time will it take?

Talent Acquisition Volunteers complete our online basic training modules and in-person induction session, which takes around 3-4 hours to complete. Once trained, volunteering with us is flexible, but ideally, we’d like someone who is available for a minimum of one morning or afternoon a week

This is hybrid volunteering opportunity, so you’ll work from home and join the team in the office on Wednesdays a couple of days a month.

Am I right for the role?

We’re looking for a volunteer who:

  • Has admin experience
  • Is comfortable managing multiple tasks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and suite and other relevant software
  • Has strong verbal and written communications abilities
