We are now looking for an Events Officer to support in the delivery of fundraising events.

About the Role

Acorns is currently the UK’s largest children’s hospice charity, in terms of both numbers of children and families supported and annual expenditure on our care work.  We need to raise more than £11 million each year to run and support our care services and we rely heavily on the goodwill and generosity of our local community. 

As Events Officer, you will:

  • Lead on the administration and delivery of fundraising events with the Events Manager
  • Provide high levels of supporter experience to events participants before, during and after events
  • Recruit and train volunteers for events
  • Work towards fundraising income targets

About You

  • Experience of fundraising events
  • Understanding of the supporter journey
  • Ability to travel across the region to attend to events, including transportation of event material and equipment
  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours to attend events

What We Offer

  • £27,000 to £32,000 per annum (FTE)
  • 37 hours per week

You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and therefore any successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check for children and will be asked to provide two satisfactory references.
